Pete Wentz is officially back in the dating groove with model Meagan Camper. "They're dating but taking things slow," a source tells PEOPLE of the burgeoning relationship.
Wentz, 32, is in the process of of a divorce from his wife Ahslee Simpson, with whom he has a son, Bronx Mowgli, who turns 3 in November.
He and Camper met a little over a month ago in Los Angeles. While the source says Wentz was nervous about bringing a new woman into Bronx’s life, ultimately the two met.
Camper, says the source, "has met Bronx, so [Pete is] obviously comfortable with her."
"It's really new and they are taking it slow because there is a little boy at stake," the source continues. "He didn't want to introduce Bronx to her if he didn't think she was a good girl. She's really sweet."
Adds the source, "He's in a really good place. He's excited to see where it goes."
Simpson has also moved on as well, and has been romantically linked to Boardwalk Empire star Vincent Piazza.
