Khloe Kardashian experienced the miracle of hope while spending a recent afternoon at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, meeting kids who are determined to beat some pretty tough health problems. This week’s issue ofOK! has all the details and photos of Khloe’s visit, including a very special conversation with a young basketball fan.
Khloe brought gifts for the children, but among her more memorable moments: a conversation with a very ill 14-year old Los Angeles Lakers fan.
“I knew he could care less about me, so I said, ‘Do you like basketball?’ ” Khloe tells OK!. “And he nodded his head. I said, ‘I’m married to a Lakers player,’ and he started smiling and said, ‘No, you’re not!’ His mom started crying, becasue those were the first words he said in two months.”
The next day Khloe sent the boy a Lakers jersey and basketball, courtesy of her husband, Lamar Odom, brightening the young fan’s day.
“It’s crazy,” Khloe said. “The stuff we take for granted can put a smile on someone’s face.
